Crisp white wines

Crispness describes a sensation of freshness. This selection uses higher recorded acidity, with body and sweetness left for you to compare.

01

Acidity is not the same as dryness

A wine can be fresh and still taste sweet. Check sweetness separately if you want a dry white, and look at body if you also want it to feel light.

02

For a tangy dish

Lemon, vinegar and other acidic ingredients can make a soft wine seem flat. Fresh acidity is a useful starting point, but the richness of the sauce may also call for more body.
